Berlin Crisis: HHD, 110th Ordnance Battalion (Ammo)

Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 110th Ordnance Battalion, Norton, Kansas, was mobilized on October 15, 1961 in response to the Berlin Crisis. It served at Ft. Riley, Kansas until released from active duty in August of 1962. The unit provided command and control of ammunition support units at Ft. Riley. The battalion was commanded by LTC Duane N. Bridges, and the battalion Command Sergeant Major was MSG Hubert C. Geil.
