Berlin Crisis: 170th Ordnance Company (Ammo)

The 170th Ordnance Company (Ammunition), Mankato and Belleville, KS, was mobilized on October 15, 1961 in response to the Berlin Crisis. It served at Fort Bliss, Texas, until released from active duty in August of 1962. The unit provided ammunition support to Active Army and Reserve units at Fort Bliss. The unit was commanded by CPT Jack Beeler, and the unit First Sergeant was SFC Kenneth Davis.
